Born in 1996, Julie Bourdin is a French-South African freelance journalist and videographer based between Johannesburg and Paris.

She is always searching for ideas for deeply reported, often investigative stories, covering human rights and climate-related issues across Africa and Europe.

When not behind her laptop, she can be found trudging through abandoned mines, diving in Cape Town's icy waters, hiking through Madagascar’s ancient forests or flying over Lesotho's mountain Kingdom.
